Do I need to sign-up?
In short - yes. Setting up an account will allow you to order without having to fill in your details every time you shop with us, and will give you benefits such as order tracking, regular newsletters, and exclusive discounts and special offers. You can register for an account right now, or you can start shopping and set your account up when you check-out, whichever suits you best. Please note that we do not store any of your credit / debit card details with your account details.


How do I sign up for the the-knitwear-shop newsletter?
The easiest way to sign up for our newsletter is to set up an account. You don't have to buy anything to open an account, but it will be there when you do.


Can I change my account details?
Once you have signed up for an account, you'll be able to log in anytime you want. Then you can change your password, email address and delivery information. If you haven't visited us in a while, it's worth checking your account details to make sure they are up to date.


Is the-knitwear-shop.com website secure?
Absolutely! The Directors & staff of The Knitwear Shop understand how important your secuirty is and treat it as if it was there own. Any information you send us is sent to our own dedicated server using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption and we are fully compliant with the PCI DSS (please see www.pcisecuritystandards.org for more information.) And, to make sure we stay secure, our site is regularly scanned by a specialist online security company to make sure we stay secure from any new threats that might emerge.


Do you have a size guide?
Absolutely! Of course, we never want to send you something that doesn't fit properly. Check out our size guide (which can be found on any products details page) for measurements, fitting tips, washing tips - everything to make sure it fits perfectly and stays looking great.


I need a bigger size than is showing as available, can you get one?
Possibly. We keep a comprehensive range of sizes in stock but if you need bigger then please contact us. It is possible our suppliers have a bigger size available and we can try and source one for you.


A product is showing as out of stock, will you be selling it again?
We know how frustrating it is to not be able to get hold of an item once you've decided you want it, but unfortunately if everyone else wants it too, an item can disappear from stock very quickly. However, even if an item is showing as out of stock it does not mean our suppliers do not have one. Please contact us with the details of the product you want and we will endeavour to find one for you as fast as possible.


Can you provide more information about a product?
We try to get as much useful information as we can onto the product details pages. The product page for every item includes sizing, a detailed description, care instructions, and most importantly, plenty of images. If you have any other questions, please contact us and we'll do our best to answer your questions.


Do you have a catalogue?
With the speed at which our offering can vary it simply is not practical for us to produce a paper catalogue.


Do you have a showroom or high street shop?
We have a high street shop called Paul Howard and it is located at 50 Market Street, Marple, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 7AD. For more information please see www.paul-howard.co.uk.


Do you offer International Shipping?
Yes. You tell us where you want it to go and we'll send it there. Please note some countries may apply charges at customs. We will not accept liability for any import charges incurred.


Do you charge VAT on orders from outside the European Union?
No. We do not charge VAT on orders placed from outside the European Union. Please note that it is the Billing Address of an order that must be from outside the European Union.


VAT reduction
On Monday December 1st 2008 we reduced our selling prices in line with the reduction in VAT rates from 17.5% to 15%. On Friday 1st January 2010 we again altered our prices in line with increase in VAT rates back to 17.5%. These changes have been applied automatically to the price advertised with the product and have also been applied to our delivery charges.
